NMSU Principal Investigators provide expert technical support to Strategic Water Supply awardees by leading specialized research and assistance areas. Each PI focuses on a key component of water project success, from regulatory support and design, to groundwater characterization, data systems, technology evaluation, and decision-support synthesis. By coordinating subject matter expertise, these PIs help streamline project challenges, improve data quality, and share best practices across the program, strengthening outcomes for projects and enhancing statewide water planning.
